God’s eye IS on the Sparrow… AND YOU!
Have you ever heard the song God’s Eye is on the Sparrow? Its a beautiful song about how we don’t have to be discouraged because God’s eye is on the Sparrow and we should know He watches us… In the bible the Sparrow is mentioned numerous times. So just for kicks, I decided to research the significance of the sparrow, just to see why the bible would use that bird as an example in so many illustrations… In my research, I discovered the sparrow is simply a small, cute, bird that eat seeds and sings sweetly. There is nothing particularly significant about them… which made me realize the point!
The sparrow is just a bird… but the bible indicates that we are worth more than many Sparrows to the Lord. So if His eye is on the little bitty Sparrow, then you can know without a doubt that HE watches you. He loves you. He is going to take care of you!
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. – Matthew 10-29-30 (Have you ever seen a dead sparrow? I haven’t. I think God catches those little birds where their life-span is over, and puts them right up in heaven with the angels!)
God’s eye is on the Sparrow and us too. Have faith. Be blessed, and fear not.

I love God! to know that he is so mindful of me. I’m in his thoughts every second of a minute, every minute of an hour, every hour of each day. To know every tear I cry he bottles them up. When he looks at the palm of his hand he sees my name etched there. His love never fails, when countless other have. His love is everlasting, when others have ceased. And what I love most about him is–inspite of me, nothing, no one can change his mind about me.

Such a beautiful and wonderful song. It has significance and comfort. I had a sparrow in my house last week at 10:00 PM, I know birds of this type are not out at that hour. So God sent me a message through this bird and the song ” his eye is on the sparrow and I know he watches over me……I am so overwhelmed by his love, I don’t know what to do but thank him and praise him.

Funny, I saw a prog where a boy was reading the eulogy at his mothers funeral. As soon as he spoke ‘mother’ a sparrow landed on his head. That sparrow allowed him to pick it up and hold in his hand. I then looked up the biblical sig. of sparrow. I kinda knew what it meant but just wanted to see. Which led me to this website. Ive had some struggles, loss of my girlfriend to whom I was going to marry, financial, etc. I pray daily about her and it seems God doesn’t hear me, at least that how I feel. But here and there I find things like this that help illustrate to me the He is looking after me. Maybe not in the way I ask..but still is. I think I may need to listen and watch more then ask….that may be the key now. Thank you for letting me share. 🙂

I find it extremely difficult right now…it almost like He cant hear me anymore? I know Ive heard Him in the past because questions were immed. answered. It was uncanny how quickly and accurate the answers came..usually via music….but anymore I hear silence (oxymoron). Idk…just weird how He plays things out to us…I try to stay strong and pray each day I’m just becoming worn out, you know? Thanks Anon 🙂

A FEW DAYS AGO AFTER PRAYER TIME WITH MY MOM AND NEPHEW, WE HAD WALKED DOWN THE DRIVEWAY TO GET THE MAIL AND THERE ON THE SIDE OF THE DRIVEWAY IN THE GRASS MY NEPHEW NOTICED A BABY SPARROW; WE LOOKED UP TO SEE WHERE HE MAY HV FALLEN FROM BUT NONE OF THE PALM TREES LOOKED AS IF THEY HAD ANY NESTS..I FELT A STRONG DESIRE TO START PRAYING OVER THIS LITTLE BIRD (FEELING SO BAD AND KNOWING IT WAS GOING TO BE ASCORCHING HOT DAY) WHILE I PRAYED MY MOM STARTED SINGING “HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW” HIS LITTLE MOUTH WAS OPENED AS IF HE WERE BEING FED AND SOMETIMES HIS NECK WOULD ENLONGATE..MIND YOU WE HAD NO IDEA THIS WAS A SPARROW AT THE TIME, WE JUST SAW A BABY BIRD WHO WAS DEFENSELESS… AFTER A WHILE WE FELT A RELEASE TO LEAVE THIS LITTLE BIRD IN GOD’S HANDS AND WENT ABOUT THE DAY…LATER THAT NIGHT MY NEPHEW LOOKED UP A PICTURE OF A SPARROW BECAUSE OF MOMS SONG AND SURE ENOUGH IT WAS A SPARROW!! WE WERE SO OVER-WHELMED WITH JOY AND THE NEXT DAY WE RAN OUT TO SEEIF HE WAS STILL THERE AND HE WAS GONE!! PRAISE GOD!!! WE KNEW GOD HAD PROTECTED THE LITTLE BIRD AND WAS SENDING US A MESSAGE….THE 3 OF US WERE TOGETHER ALL WEEK PRAYING AND SEEKING GOD, ALSO LIFTING ONE ANOTHER UP BECAUSE OF HEALTH ISSUES THE DEVIL IS TRYING TO LIE TO US ABOUT…. I FELT IT WAS VERY PROPHETIC THAT MOM JUST STARTED SINGING THAT SONG WHILE WE WERE PRAYING OVER THE LITTLE SPARROW!!! THIS WAS SO ENCOURAGING AND GREW & STRENGTHENED OUR FAITH!!!! I LOVE THE GOD OF ABRAHAM ISAAC AND JACOB THAT WE SERVE AND HE SURE DOES HAVE US IN MIND!!! AS WE SEEK HIM IN THE SECRET PLACE OF HIS TABERNACLE LET US BEHOLD THE BEAUTY OF HIS PRESENCE OFFERING UP SACRIFICES THAT ARE A SWEET AROMA TO HIM!! MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND KEEP YOU!!!!
